For x = -2 and y = 10:  3(10) + 2 = (-2)^2 – 5(-2) + 17
For x = -1 and y = 7:  3(7) + 2 = (-1)^2 – 5(-1) + 17
For x = 2 and y = 3:  3(3) + 2 = (2)^2 – 5(2) + 17
For x = 5 and y = 5:  3(5) + 2 = (5)^2 – 5(5) + 17
